« on: June 01, 2017, 02:04:06 PM »
We just got the latest answer from Himedia that they would temporarily release a new apk for online channels.

They are still working on fixing the MKTV. Hopefully it can be retrieved back soon.

Please check the topic for Enter key issue

Regarding the scrolling function. Please update the Chrome to be latest google chrome. There is bug in the current default Chrome. Himedia will build in the new Chrome version in next firmware update.

I will check from factory and get back to you.

Passthrough works using himedia player only. Not kodi (dvd player) yet. In Kodi all audio is downmixed to 2 channel and passed as PCM.

I will check with factory.

Please update the latest firmware.
Go to setting->more->Language and input, disable "Current Keyboard" to disable the soft keyboard by turn the icon colour to gray.

I double checked the H8 product description, it doesn't see it support DTS and Dolby.

Hiemdia's Q5 pro and Q10 pro support it, here are the specs:

HiMedia Q5 Pro supports all HD-Audio formats. Dolby True-HD, Dolby True-HD ATMOS, DTS:X, DTS-HD MA, 5.1/7.1 LPCM, DTS, and Dolby Digital AC3 can all be downmixed and bitstreamed (passthrough) using either the built in HiMedia video player app or any version of Kodi with HiMedia wrapper.

1.download:
www.himedia.ca/download/update_root_H8plus.zip

2.Please rename attached file to "update.zip" and do firmware upgrade.

3.After finish firmware upgrade,  run "Supersu" apk under "my apps", then restart it.

4.Beware, using this rooting update will factory reset your box. All date and setting will be erased and reset to factory default mode.

14
Unfortunately there is no way to erase the wrong firmware only. You may have to contact the vendor directly to make some sort of inspection.

15
The only way to erase the wrong firmware is to cover by the right firmware. The error message you got seemed to be the wrong firmware was put on the USB disk.

The link I sent to you is the right firmware for H8. Please try to download and make the upgrading. Let me know if problem solved.
